Our 2023 schedule.

Outlook for the new year: flucon GmbH travels to nextlub and VDI Symposium.

This year, our team is once again on the road to present flucon’s latest developments.

Among others, Josephine Klingebiel and André Heine will present our dual approach to electrical fluid characterization with two keynotes.

In April, the flucon team will travel to Düsseldorf to exhibit at nextlub. In June, we will then be guests in Schweinfurt at the 15th Annual VDI Symposium.

nextlub (Duesseldorf, April 18th & 19th)

Our focus at nextlub, which will take place around the First International Conference on Tribology and Sustainable Lubrication in Düsseldorf in April, is entirely on E-Fluid Testing: both the EPSILON+ fluid dielectricity meter and the E-Lub Tester lubricant tribology test rig will be on site as exhibits.

In addition to hands-on measurement technology, flucon will also bring along some know-how: our development engineer Josephine Klingebiel will report on impedance and breakdown voltage measurements on variably loaded test bearings, which are made possible by means of E-Lub Tester. Together with Michel Werner from the MEGT of the Rhineland-Palatinate Technical University Kaiserslautern-Landau (RPTU), Ms. Klingebiel will show how tests carried out on a thrust bearing and a gear pair can be reconciled and what possibilities there are for transferring them to other machine elements.

The joint presentation entitled “Electrical characterization of lubricants by means of impedance measurement and breakdown testing and preliminary examination for a model-based application on various machine elements” will be heard on April 19 at 1:30 p.m. in Room 2 (E-Drive Testing).

Last but not least, since nextlub also pays a lot of attention to the thermal properties of lubricants, flucon’s LAMBDA laboratory system for thermal conductivity testing of liquids, gels and powders will also be traveling with us to Düsseldorf. The LAMBDA measures according to the Transient Hot Wire method (ASTM D 7896-19) and will also be on display.

15th VDI Symposium For Plain And Rolling Bearings 2023 (Schweinfurt, June 13th & 14th)

Team flucon will also be on site at the VDI Symposium in Schweinfurt and will give an exciting technical presentation.

André Heine, also a development engineer for the E-Lub tester, will report on our latest findings obtained with the newly developed setup under the title “Measurement of complex rolling bearing impedance and parasitic current passage“.

Mr. Heine’s keynote will be held at 12:15 p.m. on June 13.

As special highlights, we will be presenting the all-new EPSILON+ of the QV-300 NextGen with revised electronics and improved software as well as the E-Lub Tester for automatic measurement of the impedance and discharge tendency of variably operated lubricated bearings.

We’re looking forward to meeting you in person!
